I have just downloaded the latest version of COD2 from Steam on to my new gaming machine, after playing it for several years on my previous gaming machine. I'm now trying to set it up the same as my earlier machine. I have set my Multiplayer Options Player Name to "SirShotaLot". After playing a map, I see that the Player Name is now "Phoenix|TDM|0.4". Can you please tell me what I've done wrong? Why is the game changing my player name? Thx

You should change your name when you are on the server,
Connect to our server, use the console and write: /name SirShotaLot or press ESC / Main menu / Multiplayer options and change your name.
Wait for the next map to start to save changes.

Tip# If you still have your old files just move your "Kingbot" folder to the new machine.
