A ping limit should be added to COD2 Server because of many players with high ping lag us all, and it's hecka annoying to play like that. Maybe 220-230

220-230? half of the players would be kicked! not a good idea.

I don't think so, the media i've seen is by far 200-210. Mi ping is normally 190/200 but today i don't know what happened that is about 240-260, and i've seen many people with the same ping. I think that happens when somebody joins with high ping, it lag the whole server, or maybe the server is having some problems

I just checked US1 (23:30 pacific time zone) after reading your answer and of the 12 players, half (6) had pings higher than your limit. so, I was pretty much spot on.

Unfortunately that is never going to happen.

Why not? many high-ping-players join and the server starts laggin, so that might be the reason why everyone has +/- 250 ping. If a 210-220 ping limit is added, high-ping players wont be allowed to join the server, so the server latency will be normal for all of us

part of running a successful and busy gaming server is trying to make things as good as possible for as many people as possible. that's how servers stay popular. the head admins need to make decisions that might not be agreeable to everybody. in this case, depriving half the players of the ability to play on the servers in order so that a smaller number who do not have the desire (or in some cases ability) to compensate their games for laggers would damage the rankings of the servers and thus, their prestige.

In fact , this is a manifestation of selfishness , seven servers in the world at all, to a ping low value for each computer is not possible , because the problem of distance.
And BB's ping on EU/US sever is about 350,you are allowing the creator to kick himself,pls take a brain next time.

That's the point. If you're in America, and you join an european server, you will lag everyone on it. Nothing from another world.
I believe BB's are bots servers, well i'm not talking about them.

badboy is from australia, so ping on eu/us server are 350 mostly.
so you want to add ping limit even admin cant connect?
