Error

Key Cod is not valid.
Please enter your Key Code in the Multiplayer Options/Enter Key Code menu and then try connecting to the server again.

I have re-put multiple key codes in and i keep getting this error, i even re-installed CoD2 beacause I thought it was something wrong with my Game but now it has to be the server :S

Buy orginal Cod 2 key on Steam, not so expensive , or search on internet for keys! But 1 solution is better and valuable! ;)

I need more info.

Does it only occur with our servers?
Which game version are you using?
Have you tried both 1.0 and 1.3?
Which version of Windows are you using?
After typing in your key and clicking "Verify", Open console ( ~ button ) and type "cdkey". Can you confirm if the console shows the CD key you verified?

Are you running the game under XP compatibility mode? (If not, enable it).

Can you run regedit, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Activision and check if the codkey value is there and correctly set to your key.

Doesn't matter. It should create the folder & cd key file when you entered the key for the first time. If it is missing that can explain why you're having issues,

Are you using 64bit or 32bit? If using 64bit, try manually making a folder & cd key file in the registry using the path I mentioned above.
